Georgian Wine Tour 

Wine culture always played a special role in the life of the Georgian people. There are 2000 kinds of grapes in the world, 500 of them grow in Georgia. Here we proudly make such famous types of wines, like Tsinandali, Kindzmarauli, Saperavi, Khvanchkara, Tvishi, Usahelauri and many other famous Georgian wines. Admire sweeping scenery of the picturesque countryside, get acquainted with the Georgian’s history and culture, enjoy with fine Georgian wines, explore old cellar and learn wine making secrets on a spectacular tour from Kamerton Travel.

Day 1. Tbilisi.
Meeting in the airport. Transfer to hotel.Lunch and dinner depends of arrival time. 

 

Day 2. Tbilisi - Mtskheta
Breakfast in Hotel. After breakfast, drive towards Mtskheta old royal city, to visit UNESCO heritage sight - Jvari monastery (VI-VII centuries) and Svetitskhoveli cathedral (XI century). Lunch and wine tasting at Iago’s Winery, Mtskheta. Tbilisi city tour. Return to Tbilisi. Dinner in the restaurant Bina 37.


 

Day 3 Bolnisi
After breakfast, drive towards Bolnisi. Visit of Bolnisi Sioni church (basilic temple, built from green tuff stone), where we learn about the tradition of making wines at monasteries. Visit of Katerinfield of Bolnisi, German colony. Town, which was built from Germans, who were settled here 200 years ago. German wine cellars, tasting of German ham, culinary and juniper masterclass. Return to Tbilisi. Free time. Dinner at the restaurant Ethno-Tsiskvili accompanied by a special entertainment program.

 

Day 4 Tbilisi - Kakheti
After breakfast transfer to main wine region – Kakheti. Master-class Georgian cuisine (Khachapuri, Khinkali, Churchkhela, Georgian bread, other Georgian dishes).
Lunch and wine tasting at Shumi Winery. Excursion to house-museum of Alexander Chavchavadze, the famous Georgian commander and nobleman.
Accommodation in Kakheti. Dinner at the Mosmieri Kakheti Wine Centre.

 

Day 5 Kakheti
After breakfast Qvevri making master class (Zaza Kbilashvili qvevri maker’s family (Telavi).Lunch and wine tasting at OKRO'S Natural Wine Restaurant, Sighnaghi.
Sighnaghi city tour. Transfer to Tbilisi. Hotel accommodation. Dinner at the restaurant Keto&Kote.

 
  
Day 6 Tbilisi
After breakfast Tour at Sarajishvili House (wine brandy factory). Lunch and wine tasting in vinotheque “8000 Vintages”.Exclusive Tour "Bourgeoisie Tbilisi"
Walking tour of XIX century Tbilisi. You will dip into the atmosphere of past centuries with architect Tata Lortkipanidze. You will see the preserved frescoes of the front entrances, learn history, and hear legends of each house in the Sololaki district. (Tour duration: 3.5-4 hours)
Dinner in the restaurant Barbarestan.


 

Day 7 Tbilisi
After breakfast, excursion to Ethnography Tbilisi Museum. Lunch at the restaurant.
Visit to Sulphur Bath. Dinner at the restaurant Tabla.

 

Day 8 Departure
After breakfast, Free time, check out from the hotel Transfer to the airport.
